During those holidays, many a day was spent walking and Picnicking in the glorious Arkengarthdale and I thought how beautiful and lucky I was to holiday in this Dale as a youngster. Upteen years later the beauty of the Dale has no way changed, but now I live up North and don’t have to wait for holidays to visit Arkengarthdale Dale. Every sunny day I spend in Arkengarthdale or Swaledale now takes me right back to those cherished childhood memories.”
